People at DEC did take pride in hearing that there was a group in IBM using
Rainbows because the graphics were better than the IBM PC's at the time.

A VAX, which could not be exported to the Soviet Union, was also found in
the bowels of Moscow's air defense system, with a sign on it that said, in
Russian, "When you care to steal the very best."  So the designers of one
of the MicroVAX chips put that Cryllic text onto the chips.  Talk about
corporate people being displeased!

Gary, was it you or someone else who said they went to work for IBM because
it would be the last American computer company to go out of business before
the Japanese companies took over the computer industry completely?
